How to Manage and Reduce Stress

5th Point Will Help You Get Results in Almost No Time.

Stress is a common factor in almost all human beings. No one wishes to take the stress, still, most of us experience the same. There is a myth that stress happens due to only negative factors. The true definition of stress is “a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances.” Even when you are experiencing a positive situation and it’s too demanding then also you might experience stress. Example: Shifting to your new home, exhausting work schedule and rocky relationship. This means anything that puts high demands on you can be stressful.

Here we have piled up several effective approaches like taking a personality test, developing a passion etc. Embracing them can help you to live your life stress-free.

Solutions to overcome stress:

1.Develop a hobby/ passion: We have to understand that when we do something for very long time, even if we love to do that, where performance is important and it affects our future, then it might lead to stress. We should develop a hobby/ passion which has nothing to with its productivity in terms of results. The only objective is to do something which gives you happiness and is not measured.

2.Walking/ Exercise: One of the best ways is to ensure that you do some physical activity regularly. It can be brisk walking or exercise or both. It is advisable to consult a health expert or doctor before you start the same especially if you have some pre-existing health issues. In other cases also we should understand that each one has different body conditioning and requires customized solutions. Hence it is always better to consult a health expert.

3.Balancing life activities: Usually, people believe that we need to balance work life & family life. In reality, we are supposed to balance 9 aspects of our life.

It is important to understand that all the above points are relative and has no standard meaning. Their meaning varies from person to person. The objective should be to measure your achievements in each aspect from a scale of 0 – 10, where 0 (Zero) means not at all achieved and 10 means completely achieved. You need to find out where do you stand in front of achievement in each aspect. Now ensure that you work on the aspects which have lower value and balance all of them. Once you start doing the same, you will see a better state of mind which is usually happy & satisfied.

4.Take a Personality Test: Every human being is different and carries a different personality. So the reasons for stress will also differ and so is the case with solutions. Personality tests (also known as a psychometric test) can help a person to know his/ her personality in details and identify how they can handle different challenge they experience during lifetime. For example: a person who is extrovert can overcome stress by going out whereas an introvert will be able to overcome by staying alone for some time. This can be a great tool for those who wish to overcome challenges by themselves.

5.Practice Mindfulness: The biggest problem with us is that when we are experiencing an event, we either think about the past or its impact on the future. This creates stress within us. Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.

It is a very simple technique which takes almost less than 10-15 minutes every day and can give you several benefits like:
